Complete setup guide for ADB Device Manager on Windows and Android
System Requirements
Make sure your devices meet these requirements before installation.
Windows Requirements
- Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
- Minimum RAM: 1GB
- Recommended RAM: 4GB+
- Internet not required (local only)
- USB port (for USB debugging)
- Wi-Fi (for wireless ADB)
Android Requirements
- Android 7.0 and above
- USB Debugging enabled (for ADB mode)
- Notification access (for sync features)
- Battery optimization disabled (recommended)
- Background running allowed
Download & Install — Windows (.exe)
Download the Windows Installer
Get the latest version of ADB Device Manager for Windows.
Download Windows AppInstall the App
- Double-click the downloaded installer
- Click "Install"
- Allow Administrator permission (if asked)
First Launch
- Windows may prompt for firewall permission → click Allow
- App will start and show "Waiting for device…"
Make sure to allow the app through Windows Firewall for network features to work properly.
Install USB Drivers (if needed)
If your device isn't detected, you may need to install USB drivers.
Pro Tip: For Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, and other brands — the Google ADB driver usually works as a universal fallback.
Download & Install — Android Companion App (.apk)
Allow Installation from Unknown Sources
- Go to Settings → Security
- Enable "Install unknown apps" for your file manager or browser
This setting may vary by device manufacturer. Look for "Install unknown apps" or similar in Security settings.
Install the App
- Tap the downloaded APK file
- Tap Install
- Open the app and grant necessary permissions
Enable USB Debugging (Required for ADB Mode)
USB Debugging allows your Windows PC to communicate with your Android device through ADB.
It is required for features like screen mirroring, Android Dex mode, audio mirroring,
APK installation, logs, and more.

Enable Developer Options
- Open Settings → About Phone
- Find Build Number (may be under "Software information")
- Tap it 7 times until you see: “You are now a developer!”
Developer Options will now appear in your phone's settings.
Turn On USB Debugging
- Go to Settings → Developer Options
- Scroll down to USB Debugging
- Toggle USB Debugging = ON
Note: Some devices require enabling "USB Debugging (Security settings)" as well, especially Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo.
Connect Your Phone to Your PC
- Use a high-quality USB cable (avoid charge-only cables)
- Connect your phone to the PC
- Your phone will show: "Allow USB Debugging?"
- Tap Allow
- Enable "Always allow from this computer" to avoid repeated prompts
Tip: If your phone doesn't show the prompt, try reconnecting the cable, switching USB mode to “File Transfer (MTP)”, or reinstalling phone drivers.
Connect Your Phone to Windows App
Grant Required Permissions on Android
These permissions enable different features in ADB Device Manager.
The app will guide you through granting each permission when you first enable each feature.
Optional Setup: Battery Optimization Fix
Important for notification/call sync to work reliably in the background.
Samsung
Settings → Battery → Background usage limits → Disable for ADB Device Manager
Xiaomi / MIUI
Settings → Battery → App battery saver → Select "No restrictions"
Vivo / Oppo / Realme
Settings → App Management → Allow Auto-Start
Google Pixel
Works normally — no fix needed
